Creatures & Encounters

"The wilds belong to no kingdom."

§ 1

The wilds are being redrawn

The creature system is under reconstruction. The previous roster — every named beast, its abilities, and the badges tied to them — has been retired in full by the Founder's order.

What replaces it is simpler, and physical. Creatures become coins on the field. A plain monster coin is a hazard met while exploring — a small cost for venturing out. An Epic coin is a prize worth a campaign, cast in high-quality metal and modelled in three dimensions. A beast will carry three plain stages and nothing more: no bestiary of statistics to memorise, no table to consult mid-match.

"Creatures should never replace the struggle between kingdoms."

This chapter fills back in once the coin system is ruled. Until then the Codex governs — nothing on this page is law.
